With its headquarters in the Palace of Culture, the National Museum Complex "Moldova" Iași comprises four national museums, a research and conservation-restoration center, as well as six other museums located in the city and county of Iași, respectively.
Palace of Culture
The palace in the center of Iasi, conceived in the spirit of the communal palaces of Western Europe, is a happy combination of several architectural styles: neo-Gothic, romantic and neo-baroque.
Ethnographic Museum of Moldova
More than 13,000 pieces from the fields of crafts, peasant technical installations, interior textiles, folk costumes, traditional architecture, handicrafts.
Museum of History of Moldova
It includes pieces illustrative of the life of human communities that have lived in the Eastern Carpathian area from the Paleolithic to the present day.
Art Museum
Currently, the Museum of Art in Iasi hoards about 10,000 works of art: painting, graphics, sculpture, which will be gradually, gradually, valorized in exhibitions and thus offered to the public lover of beauty.
Stefan Procopiu Museum of Science and Technology
Over 11,000 reference items on the evolution of sound recording and reproduction, the history of photography and cinematography, the evolution of communications and more.

Experience the joy of the past
Besides the museums located within the Palace of Culture, the National Museum Complex "Moldova" Iasi also includes other important museums located in the county of Iasi, which stand out for their valuable exhibits, as well as for the exceptional architectural styles of the buildings that house them.
Poni Cernătescu Museum
The house built in 1839 by the Metropolitan Veniamin Costachi, in which Professor Petru Poni lived with his family, today houses the “Poni-Cernătescu” Museum.
Mihail Kogălniceanu Memorial Museum
“Mihail Kogălniceanu” Memorial Museum is a spatio-temporal landmark to which we are obliged to relate the “creative life routes” of the historian and writer Mihail Kogălniceanu.
Union Museum
The Union Museum is located in the city center and contains a valuable heritage of modern history. The museum building itself is the first and most important museum exhibit.
Alexandru Ioan Cuza Palace in Ruginoasa
The palace, which today houses the Alexandru Ioan Cuza Memorial Museum, was built in the first decade of the 19th century.
Cucuteni archaeological site museum
The central point of attraction is one of the 4th-century BC Geto-Dacian princely tombs discovered on Gosan Hill.
Vine and Wine Museum in Hârlău
The museum is structured on several fundamental ethnological coordinates, designed to provide cultural landmarks of traditional Romanian life in the Hârlăului area.

The work of specialists from the Iasi Restoration-Conservation Laboratory and later of the Center for Research and Conservation - Restoration of Cultural Heritage, led to the rescue of great cultural values.
Center for Cultural Heritage Research and Conservation-Restoration
The Center for Research and Conservation-Restoration of Cultural Heritage was established as a Regional Laboratory for Restoration-Conservation in 1975, its founder being Professor Dimitrie Vicovanu.
